Let the split band shape the design

A split shank divides the band into separate arms near the center of the ring. The space between those arms can give the setting an open look, while the shoulders can be polished or stone-set. Compare how far the split extends and how the arms meet the center setting.

Check width, height and stone details

A wider top can look very different from a narrow band even when both share the same ring size. Review the dimensions, side profile and available sizes before choosing. Check each listing for its metal, stone type, stone origin and carat weight; the split-shank design alone does not indicate any of those materials.
